What can occur during your therapy session

Our licensed, insured, prepared, and pleasant massage therapist will provide everything you need to make sure your experience is simply the best. Enjoy total relaxation in the hands of massage artists who will take you to a better place and make your day easier. The following sometimes occurs during massage:

  •  need to move or change position

  •  sighing, yawning, change in breathing

  •  stomach gurgling

  •  movement of intestinal gas

  •  emotional feelings and/or expression energy shifts

  •  falling asleep

These are normal responses to relaxation but please feel free to communicate any changes you are experiencing.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored: 24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

Important Information

1. Please understand that although massage therapy can be very therapeutic, relaxing, reduce muscular tension, and increase circulation, it is not a substitute for a medical examination, diagnosis and treatment.

2. This is a therapeutic massage and any sexual remarks or advances will terminate the session and you will be liable for payment of the scheduled treatment. Being that massage should not be done under certain medical conditions, be sure to read the intake form and affirm that you have answered all questions pertaining to medical conditions truthfully and have filled out the form to the best of your knowledge at the time of your session.

3. Times when massage isn't beneficial: If a client is present with signs and/or symptoms of illness that contraindicate massage (cold, flu, fever, undiagnosed rash or skin conditions, contagious infection, etc.), the session will be re-scheduled. This is to protect the health of both the client and the therapist.

This convenience saves you time and gas, allowing you to really relax and let stress and worries melt away. After the massage you will not have to fight traffic to return home. Just slip into your favorite chair with a cup of tea and a good book or go back to work feeling refreshed and energized.

How Much Should I tip

 The average according to various sources on the internet is that a tip for a massage is 10-25% of the service cost. At Cali Lotus we say tip whatever amount feels good to you.
